A Picture Perfect Home...
Aesthetically laid out fancy overpriced cushions,
Rugs that really don't solve the purpose,
Candles on display waiting to be lit for the incoming guest some day....
Beautiful pastels of the crockery
Accumulating dust in the shelves!
One day, they will all be used, for somebody who would not even care maybe....
What about the one, that you truly should care about??
Use that plate, light the candle flame,
Make your favourite cocktail
And hear the tinker of those glasses
Sit on the rug and play with the cushions,
For a Perfect Home is not the one on display
But the one truly made out of perfect imperfections
Of the love you carry for yourself
Reminding others to care about themselves too.
Aesthetically please your own self,
For when you are pleased,
Others see you blooming and gleeful
And a pleasing personality is what
Others do fancy!!
So what if the sparkle of your perfect home starts to fade,
The glow of your imperfectly perfect life,
Will bring back all the vibe
And that used fancy cushion,
Will feel more cozy,
The candles will burn with life,
Those slightly worn out rugs will speak of all the memories you made,
and the broken crockery,
Will tell stories of time well spent and play.
Love Thyself in full,
For YOU = YOU and YOU is the most important person in your life!
Once you are fulfilled, you start overflowing with unending compassion and gratitude to become YOU = OTHERS.
Thus lies the concept of Being Selfishly Selfless.
Remember, if you are empty and selfless, it won’t last and you will be drained and give up soon but if you are full, you will be selfless in fullness.
So go fill your Cup by being Selfishly Selfless.
