Our freedom was earned with blood, sweat, and sacrifice. Celebrate it with pride, says QuillBot. So did our Zenithians. Early morning celebrations by people of the community were the talk of the day. The day started with flag hoisting, followed by various performances by the residents that included people from all age groups. Practices and rehearsals happened until late at night the previous day, as residents didn't take it as just a celebration but as a tribute to the freedom fighters of our nation. This included dancing, singing and honouring our residents for their valuable and selfless contribution to the society/community that we live in.
The kids who performed on that day looked like they had imbibed the perfect feeling of patriotism, and that showed in the group dances that they performed. A group of kids sang a medley that showcased songs from different languages to show 'unity in diversity'. Elders did the same to continue the same feeling, with pride. We honoured senior citizens and a few residents with medals and certificates for their contributions. Zen beehive thanks everyone wholeheartedly for the recognition that was given to us by our dear residents. Check out the list of programs that took place on the occasion:
